Pleased to meet you! My name is Christine Phillips. I'm a Christian fiction writer.
I've been writing since childhood, and boy, did I have a wild imagination! I've written poems and short stories, and published my first novel in 2012. One of my short stories in particular fascinated my middle school teachers (it was about a ghost in a haunted graveyard built in a walk-up attic of an old mansion...sadly, I lost that story long ago but still remember it). Several of my poems were published in my high school newspaper (my favorite was The Chamber of Horrors -- again, long ago lost).
I've studied English literature, paralegal studies, music and writing. Currently, I live in Chester, Virginia, mom to two grown children and four cats. I enjoy music, books and movies, and count Dee Henderson, Donna VanLiere, Rene Gutteridge and Nicholas Sparks among my favorite authors. I joined Agile Writers in 2009 and decided upon Christian fiction as my genre because I wanted to write books that inspire and encourage people.
